“We have just reached a political agreement on new sanctions against Russia,” the politician wrote on Twitter.
She specified that the agreement would be followed by a written procedure and "sanctions will come into force from the moment they are published in the official journal."
Earlier, Politico reported that the EU had agreed on a new package of anti-Russian sanctions.
