The Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai will provide tourist trips on electric abras to guests of the Global Village, starting from October 25, coinciding with the start of the 27th season of the village.
The Director of the Maritime Transport Department at the Public Transport Corporation, Muhammad Abu Bakr Al-Hashemi, said that the authority seeks to provide an electric lesson service with the launch of the activities of the global village every year, especially with a great demand for its use by the public, which contributes to revitalizing the tourism movement in the global village. It provides its pioneers, guests and visitors with a unique experience in using abras powered by renewable energy, which is reflected in the comfort of the public, whether residents or visitors.
He added that the authority has adopted a plan to operate two crosses powered by electric power to serve the guests of the Global Village in its current season, as this service has been very popular throughout the past seasons of the village.
He praised the role played by the global village in stimulating and promoting tourism during the winter season every year, stressing that the authority is keen to support tourism in Dubai by providing multiple means of mass transportation, including marine transport modes of all kinds of abras, Dubai Ferry, water bus and water taxi. .
