From the draft description of the program, it follows that it will be called "Integrity and Sustainability of the Media in Armenia."

According to preliminary data, the period of its implementation should not exceed five years, and the budget - $4 million.

“The program will enhance the professional and organizational capacity of the media to strengthen their editorial independence and increase their reach and influence in the Armenian society through quality content,” the text specifies.

Work to achieve the goals of the program will be carried out in three areas, the first of which is "Raising the standards of journalism and the quality of content."

The clarification to this paragraph states that the attention of specialists here will be paid to issues related to the creation of “high-quality” content, including those on socially significant and insufficiently covered topics in the media.

Activities within the second track - "Helping to achieve the financial viability of the media working in the public interest" - will be aimed at developing data analysis systems, modernizing websites, creating a fund to support the media, new business models and more.

The third area - "Promoting the formation of favorable conditions for the independent flow of information" - will be associated with work to improve the legal framework for "independent" media, increase society's resilience to "disinformation" and its demand for "quality" journalism.

In the summer, it was reported that the United States intended to allocate $585,000 to a training program for 60 students and graduates of educational institutions under the age of 24 from Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia.

Training, as specified, the American side planned to conduct in areas involving, among other things, "development of leadership qualities."

According to a number of experts, this US policy is aimed at "brainwashing" and a gradual change in the consciousness of people living in different regions, including the post-Soviet space.
