Today, Tuesday, Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, witnessed the opening of the World Innovation Summit for Health (WISH) 2022, which will be held for three days under the title "Towards a Lively Future" at the "Multaqa" building in the city. educational.

The opening was attended by the President of the Republic of Tanzania, Samia Suluhu Hassan, and a number of sheikhs, ministers, policy makers, scholars and specialists from different countries of the world.

Sheikha Moza delivered a speech at the opening session in which she stressed that the creative efforts of scientists, doctors and sectors concerned with health services around the world are indispensable.

But next to it, with it, and perhaps before it, "we need initiatives that motivate the individual and remind him of his responsibilities towards himself and his community."

Speaking about the organization of the World Cup, she added, "Just as our sports projects, which arrived after more than a quarter of a century to host the FIFA World Cup, have inspired us to continue developing our country, they can inspire us again, in Qatar and around the world, to develop and reshape our perceptions of ways to build More efficient and comprehensive health care systems.

She added, "Wish's axes always deal with very important issues, and although they vary this year in their topics, they share one goal, which is to search for ways to direct people to adopt the most appropriate and optimal lifestyle to ensure their health security."

This year's edition of WISH will focus on 4 main themes: the legacy of COVID-19, disability, sports and health, and wellbeing.

Discussions in it center around 10 topics that will be presented in specialized seminars, and address important global health challenges, such as climate change and food security, mental health of health care workers, and vaccine innovation, all supported by evidence-based research reports prepared by Summit experts and providing recommendations practical politics.

The Innovation Center will host about 20 healthcare innovators from 13 countries, who have been selected to showcase their innovations at the summit, which will witness, over 3 days, a variety of events, including art exhibitions, introducing investors to start-up companies, and “agora” sessions, to revive the atmosphere of places Ancient Greek gathering to share discussions on topics such as stress in the workplace.
