At the same time, evacuation orders were issued to residents of Hokkaido, the northernmost point of the Japanese archipelago and Aomori Prefecture, the northernmost tip of Honshu, to "evacuate in the building or underground."



The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff also announced that North Korea fired a ballistic missile into the East Sea this morning and is analyzing parameters such as range, altitude, and speed.
