A parliamentary motion yesterday, written by representatives from the parties that are about to take over the government in the country (M+KD+L+SD), has worried politicians in Östergötland.

The motion states that the plans for high-speed trains through the country must be stopped.

New main lines for high-speed trains are planned between Stockholm-Gothenburg and Stockholm-Malmö.

A first stage is Ostlänken, the railway between Järna and Linköping, in that project there are also plans for new station areas in Linköping and Norrköping and, among other things, a new station at Skavsta Airport.

Maria Stockhaus (M) is the Moderates' traffic policy spokesperson and says today that the party has long been against high-speed trains, that they instead want to invest in the existing rail network:

- However, there are no plans to stop Ostlänken.
