Man charged - set fire to apartment where woman and child were

It was at the end of August that a man poured flammable liquid on the front door of the apartment, which he then set alight.

Inside the apartment was a woman and a child.

The woman and the child, who are familiar with the man, had to be helped down from the second floor by the emergency services.

According to the prosecutor, the fire posed a danger to the lives of several people as the fire was started in a residential building in a densely built-up area.

The fire caused damage to the property to the value of one million kroner and also completely destroyed one of the apartments.

The man is now charged with aggravated arson and attempted murder.
