Leksand's crisp bread: 14 million in increased costs last year

SVT Nyheter Dalarna has sent out a survey to eleven companies in the county about how they are affected by the electricity price.

Ten companies responded and all are affected by electricity prices in one way or another.

Some are also reviewing operations to find ways to reduce costs.

Increased by 174 percent

Leksand's crisp bread, which has been around for almost 100 years, is one of them.

- Even if we buy up local electricity, our electricity prices according to the market still increase by 174 percent.

That's SEK 14 million for us in increased costs, it's more than our annual profit to be absorbed in costs before 2023, says Peter Joon.
