Kazakhstan is one of the main host countries for Russians fleeing the partial mobilization decreed on September 21: 100,000 Russians entered the country in 15 days, according to the Kazakh immigration services.

This flood causes some concern on the part of the local population.

To avoid misunderstandings, a group of musicians from the Russian minority in Kazakhstan decided to send them a song.

The message of the song is the following: it goes without saying that we will welcome you, but you must understand that this country is different, that it is not Russia

The Kazakhs have mixed feelings about this: they are a very welcoming people, it is in their DNA, they are always friendly, but this is the first time such a situation has happened and it people have to acclimatise.

Tensions in real estate

One hundred thousand arrivals of young men in less than two weeks do not go unnoticed.

This creates tensions in particular in real estate.

It is very noticeable in the streets of Almaty

There

are a lot of requests for apartments and hotels.

In the north of the country, near the border, in some cities, there is downright overpopulation: it is impossible to rent an apartment or find a hotel room

 , ”says the musician.

The Kazakh Interior Ministry announces that it has strengthened its public security system by deploying more police units in high-traffic areas.
