Biden and Kishida condemn North Korea's missile test

US President Joe Biden and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida condemned North Korea's launch of a ballistic missile that flew over Japan, the White House announced today, Tuesday, after a phone call between them.

"The two leaders jointly condemned North Korea's missile test in the strongest terms, and considered the launch a danger to the Japanese people, destabilizing the region, and a clear violation of United Nations Security Council resolutions," the White House said in a statement.

A US official said the United States would ask the UN Security Council to hold a public meeting on North Korea on Wednesday.
