The return to parliament is today for the 577 deputies.

On the program, a debate on Ukraine, and the examination of the unemployment insurance reform, while the pension reform will be presented by the end of winter.

Two texts that the Republicans have been demanding for years and that they should therefore logically vote for, even if the right claims to belong to the opposition.

TO ANALYSE

In the Assembly, the next texts presented by the government, on unemployment insurance and pensions, embarrass the Republicans.

The reform of unemployment insurance first, the right is in favor of it, and should vote for it without too much difficulty.

Last week in the Social Affairs Committee, Les Républicains also rejected almost all of the amendments which aimed to empty the text of its substance.

On the other hand, the debate is a little more lively internally on the pension reform.

The right first demanded time for consultation, it was heard.

She now asks to see the text before deciding, in particular the articles on the arduousness or the support of long careers.

But basically, the senators and a good part of the Republican deputies agree on the urgency of reform.

Back to Parliament: what will the deputies and senators discuss?

Succeed in reform while knowing how to be firm

The Republicans thus want on the one hand to influence the country's politics, without being accountable for Emmanuel Macron's balance sheet, as explained by Julien Dive, LR deputy from Aisne: "It's all the difficulty what is ours, and at the same time it is not devoid of interest, it is rather even a great challenge, it is to succeed in reforming, in advancing our own proposals, which we have done through certain texts this summer. And at the same time, it's knowing how to be firm, knowing how to oppose".

To oppose, the right will certainly do so on the budget, a text on which the government is very seriously considering resorting to 49.3.
