Russian Ambassador summoned to Croatian Foreign Ministry due to referendums in Donbass

This was reported in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Croatia.

“(Deputy head. -

) Foreign Ministry Andrei Metelko-Zgombich summoned Russian Ambassador Andrei Nesterenko today to express sharp condemnation of the illegal annexation of the occupied territories of Ukraine and referendums,” the Twitter message says.

Earlier, Russian Ambassador Alexander Zmeevsky was summoned to the Czech Foreign Ministry in connection with the holding of referendums in the republics of Donbass, as well as Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. 

Zmeevsky brought Moscow's position on the referenda to the Czech Foreign Ministry.

On September 30, Putin and the heads of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions signed agreements on the accession of these regions to Russia.

Later, the State Duma adopted federal constitutional laws on the entry of these subjects into Russia.
