Prime Minister Kishida has decided to appoint his eldest son Shotaro as secretary in charge of political affairs.

It seems that the aim is to have him gain experience at the forefront of government administration and to train him as his successor in the future.

There are currently eight secretaries to the Prime Minister in the Kishida Cabinet, of which the secretary in charge of political affairs is Mr. Takashi Shimada, who has experience as an administrative vice-minister of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and has been a policy secretary at the Kishida Office for many years. Mr. Takayoshi Yamamoto serves.

Prime Minister Kishida decided to replace Mr. Yamamoto and appoint his eldest son, Mr. Shotaro, at the turning point of one year since the inauguration of the administration.

Shotaro is 31 years old.

After graduating from university, he worked for a major trading company and is currently working as a secretary at Kishida Office.

Prime Minister Kishida seems to have the aim of nurturing him as his own successor in the future by having him gain experience at the forefront of administration as a secretary to the prime minister.

This appointment is expected to be announced on the 4th.
