Medvedev called the attempts of Western countries to isolate Russia, as well as to freeze a number of promising undertakings in this area, "stupid."

“Actually, it’s okay, we will live without them, but they will lose all their positions with us and will later regret it bitterly,” he concluded.

Earlier it was reported that the United States will ban the export, re-export and sale of quantum computing services to Russia from October 15.

Academician Gennady Krasnikov, Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Russian Academy of Sciences "Quantum Technologies", General Director of JSC "NIIME", expressed confidence that the US sanctions will not significantly affect the development of quantum computing.
