It was August 6 this year that a man died after a parachute accident at Johannisberg Airport in Västerås.

According to the report from the Swedish Parachute Association, the parachute has rotated and is diving heavily when he releases it.

The jumper must then have tried for 39 seconds to correct the malfunction but failed.

The jumper then tried to deploy the reserve parachute at a height of about 100 meters, but it did not work as it happened at too low a level.

The skydiver had extensive experience in the sport

According to the Swedish Parachute Association, the man was very experienced and had over 20 years of experience and made close to 7,000 parachute jumps.

At the time of the accident, he made a parachute jump in a 15-man group from just over 4,000 meters.
