- Both I and the election ambassadors were surprised, based on our image it was a great commitment, but unfortunately many chose not to go to the polling stations, says Ellen Samuelsson, youth supervisor Framtidens hus.

Framtidens hus, part of Stockholm city, employed a total of 40 election ambassadors before the election who planned and carried out events to attract more people, especially first-time voters, to vote.

28 ambassadors were hired through the city's own vacation program and 12 were hired in collaboration with The Global Village foundation and funded by Meta.

Evaluating before the next election

The Järva votes project has also invested heavily in the run-up to the election.

The initiators of the initiative are Rinkeby Folkets hus, Folkets Husby, Save the Children and ABF Stockholm.

The four actors have invested their own resources in the project but also received SEK 200,000 in grants from the Cultural Administration, among other things.

Hear Lucia Ramirez Tuesta, coordinator ABF Stockholm tell the story in the video below.
