Last night, settlers held dance parties inside the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron, sparking widespread anger across the digital space among Palestinian and Arab activists.

A video of settlers dancing and swaying inside the Ibrahimi Mosque spread widely on social networks, which angered activists, describing the scenes as "shameful".

hurtful scenes

Palestinian writer Yasser Al-Zaatrah tweeted about the scenes circulating, in a post that stated, "Below is a dance party for the settlers in the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron. Hebron, which was left by the "Oslo" agreement (Abbas' engineering) hostage to the settlers. Here is Hebron, and here is the West Bank; while the sellers of illusions talk about A state within 67 borders. This scenario is what the invaders are preparing for Al-Aqsa Mosque. To hell are they and those who collude with them."

Writer Radwan al-Akhras wrote, "An Israeli settlement danced in the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque this morning, and now the settlers sing and dance inside the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron. .

This scene is not from a discotheque or a nightclub, but rather from a mosque in #Palestine..

Writer Ibrahim al-Madhoun commented on the parties, saying, "The scenes that came out of the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron are very harmful. The settlers dance and sing in a hideous way. There is a continuation to provoke Muslims and underestimate their feelings. The occupation has lost its mind and these heinous acts are counterproductive to its existence. Criminal Israel is the main enemy.”

The Arab people realize that criminal Israel is the main enemy.

shameful scene

For his part, the tweeter Hosni Khaled wrote, "A shameful scene.. Settlers hold a dance party inside the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron, where is the Islamic and Arab nation among the sanctities of Muslims that are being violated."

And the singer, Faris Al-Masry, considered this scene chilling, noting that the rapists stormed the Ibrahimi Mosque, which is the most important and oldest Palestinian mosque after Al-Aqsa Mosque, and expelled and desecrated the worshipers and danced in it to the sounds of loud music.

And he concluded by saying: Oh God, Muslims live in humiliation, weakness and humiliation that only You know. Oh God, grant them victory and honor them.

Manal Al-Dulaimi said: This scene is not from a discotheque or a nightclub, but rather from a mosque in Palestine, indicating that while the Israeli settlers dance and celebrate, there are Arabs who seek normalization with Israel.

Last week, the Israeli forces closed the Ibrahimi Mosque under the pretext of "Jewish holidays" amid a heavy security presence in the vicinity of the mosque.

Mosque and stations

The Ibrahimi Mosque is located in the heart of the city of Hebron in the south of the West Bank. The mosque - which is also called the Ibrahimi Mosque - is attributed to the Prophet Ibrahim al-Khalil, peace be upon him, who was buried there 4 thousand years ago.

The city of Hebron was named after him, and it contains covered domes that some historical sources say are the tombs of the prophets Abraham, his wife Sarah, Isaac, Ishmael, Jacob, Joseph and their wives, peace be upon them.

The year 1994 was an important milestone in the history of the Ibrahimi Mosque when the massacre occurred, specifically at dawn on Friday 25 February 1994, corresponding to 15 Ramadan 1415 AH, when the settler Baruch Goldstein attacked the worshipers and shot them while they were performing the dawn prayer, causing the death of 29 and the injury of 15 others. Before other worshipers pounce on him and kill him.

Since that time, attacks on this mosque have continued, and the old municipality in its vicinity has been closed, and the markets near it - with more than 500 shops - are still closed, and it is forbidden to call the call to prayer in it dozens of times a month.
