A kitten saved a family from peril from carbon monoxide poisoning.

On the 29th of last month local time, the New York Post reported that 'Thor', a cat living in a house in Michigan, USA, saved the owner's family from carbon monoxide poisoning.

According to the fire department, the Stamper family's home, where Thor lives, has been installed with a portable generator in the garage after electricity was cut off in a storm at the end of August.

However, as the garage door opened for ventilation was closed, colorless and odorless smoke from the generator seeped into the house.

To make matters worse, there were no carbon monoxide detectors in the house, so no one in the family knew it was seeping in.

However, Thor started crying in pain, and Mr. Stamper's wife, Heidi Stamper, mistook the kitten for a fuss and took him out of the house to comfort him.

Thor breathed in her fresh air and immediately stopped crying, and Heidi went back into her house.

Then Heidi lost her mind and collapsed, and her husband, who stayed in her house, had already lost her mind.

Thor, who was in charge of carbon monoxide again, instinctively informed the Stamper's 13- and 11-year-old children that he was in a dangerous situation by crying loudly again.

Fortunately, the children heard Thor's cry, came to their senses, dragged their parents out of the house, called 911, and the entire family was safely transported to the hospital.

A fire department official said, "This incident is a terrifying example of how quickly carbon monoxide spreads to the body and how deadly it can be. Fortunately, it ended without a major accident, but I hope that all residents must keep the generator outside their home."
