In 2019, several women had been attacked and raped by the same man who raged at night in the streets of the Breton capital.
From Monday to Thursday, this 24-year-old man was tried before the Assize Court of Ille-et-Vilaine for three acts of rape and a sexual assault all committed in the city center of Rennes between August and of November 2019. At the end of the four days of hearing, the Assize Court of Ille-et-Vilaine sentenced him to a sentence of sixteen years of criminal imprisonment.
Each time, the man from La Martinique had acted in the same way.
He had assaulted women who walked alone at night, often on their way home from a party.
He acted from behind, surprising his victims by pinning them against a wall, sometimes hooded.
He had practiced several digital penetrations.
Aged 24, Duedy Dancrade had been confused by his DNA, found on one of the victims, before being arrested in November 2019. Already convicted of sexual exhibition on a university campus, the accused was already on file.
