According to the New York Times, the Russian leader's rhetoric has become tougher.

“Putin tried to show the West his determination: he does not succumb to the pressure of sanctions and the supply of weapons to Ukraine and will continue to fight,” RIA Novosti quotes the publication.

According to the authors, the Russian leader made it clear to the world that he wants to lead a movement against US hegemony.

Earlier, Putin said that the West purposefully exterminated entire ethnic groups.

He also noted that the United States is the only country in the world that has used nuclear weapons, thus setting a precedent.
