If you have suffered an injury at work that affects your income, you can receive a so-called annuity.

The 60-year-old man has received this from Försäkringskassan - for ten years.

When the damage no longer affects the income, you are obliged to notify it.

The Social Insurance Agency now believes that the man should have made such a report already at the turn of the year 2011/2012 - but he has not done so.

Received SEK 3,500 every month for ten years

Data from both the Swedish Tax Agency and the man's employer show that the man's income clearly improved already at the end of 2011.

Since 2012, the man has received around SEK 3,500 a month in annuity.

A sum that, after ten years, amounts to SEK 410,000.

The man is now ordered to repay the entire amount to the Social Insurance Agency.
