It has been confirmed that the Board of Audit and Inspection has notified former President Moon Jae-in of a written investigation into the shooting of a public official in the West Sea.



According to the political circles, on the 28th of last month, the Board of Audit and Inspection notified former President Moon Jae-in of a written investigation.



In September 2020, a public official belonging to the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries was shot and killed by a North Korean military officer in the West Sea was shot.



It is said that the Board of Audit and Inspection intends to verify the facts directly with former President Moon on the process of the Moon Jae-in administration's conclusion that North Korea was defected rather than murdered.



It was found that the Board of Audit and Inspection sent two phone calls and emails to former President Moon last month asking him to respond to a written investigation and also sent a questionnaire containing the contents of the investigation.



It has been two and a half months since the Board of Audit and Inspection launched an all-round investigation into the murder of President Moon in the West Sea.



In mid-July, the Board of Audit and Inspection began a main audit of the attack on public officials in the West Sea targeting nine agencies, including the Coast Guard, the National Intelligence Service, and the Blue House National Security Office.
