The images come from the National Museum of the History of Ukraine during the Second World War in Kyiv, with which the State Defense History Museums, SFHM, is now deepening its collaboration.

The exhibition can be viewed until around the end of November and it may be extended, says Sara Krüger, communication strategist at SFHM.

"We have had a collaboration between our museum institutions for over 20 years, but with Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February this year, the collaboration has intensified and has now been formalized.

I see the partnership as an honor," says Helene Rånlund, Superintendent of SFHM, in a press release.

The Swedish and Ukrainian museums will borrow objects and photographs from each other's collections for joint exhibitions, all to "tell and create conversation" about how war affects society.
