A large number of tweeters in Egypt interacted with the "Damietta disaster" tag, to demand a fair and prompt trial for a thug who assaulted a young man and his mother with a white weapon in Damietta Governorate (north of Cairo), to the extent that the victim's hand was amputated.
The security services of the Egyptian Ministry of Interior revealed the circumstances of what a large number of social media pioneers circulated about a thug attacking his neighbor and his mother in front of people's eyes, causing them to suffer disabilities and cut hands.

The ministry said - in a statement published by several Egyptian newspapers - that by examination, it was found that on September 21, the Kafr al-Batekh police station, in the Damietta Security Directorate, received a report of a quarrel - in the center's department - due to neighborhood disputes between each of the first party: one of the persons, His mother, who had several cut wounds, and a second party: a person, all of whom live in the center.
By asking the first party, he accused the second party of assaulting him and his mother with a white weapon "knife", which he had in his possession, and injuring them.
The security services were able to apprehend the second party in possession of the weapon used in the incident, and by confronting him, he admitted that he had committed the incident as indicated, and the injured were transferred to the hospital to receive the necessary treatment.
The details of the incident refer to a post circulating on social media, in which a person is crying out for help from a thug in the area he lives in Damietta Governorate, after attacking his brother and mother with a white weapon.

Damietta Specialized Hospital revealed - on its Facebook page - the details of the injury, and he said in a post that "the patient, Muhammad Shabana, from Kafr al-Batekh, was brought to the Specialized Hospital after an attack by a thug, and it was found that there was an incomplete amputation of the left hand at the level of the wrist, It was also found that there was a complete fracture in the wrist joint, and a complete severing of all the arteries, nerves and connective tendons of the left hand.
He added, "It was found that there was a cut in the right hand at the level of the palm, and a cut in the ulnar bundle, an artery and a nerve, a cut in the median nerve and all the connective and extensor tendons of the index, middle, ring and little fingers, and a fracture of the metacarpal bones of the hand for the middle, ring and little fingers."
And the hospital publication continued, "The patient was admitted to the emergency, and was successfully treated, to be prepared to enter the operating room, where the right hand was reconnected, the bones were fixed, the artery, nerves, connective and extensor tendons were connected, and the wrist joint was fixed for the left hand, and grafts were made for the radial artery as a first stage to restore the cycle.
