Shortly after 19:00 on Friday evening, the police were alerted that shots had been fired in Ronna.

A seriously injured person was found at the scene.

- We are on site and talking to witnesses because it is important to collect them now.

We have had a dog and everything.

We are inventorying everything we have in the area, there are a lot of cameras here, says Carina Skagerlind, press spokesperson at the police in Stockholm.

The crime scene has been cordoned off for technical investigation.

Shortly after 9 p.m., the police announced that one person, a young man, had died after the shooting.

A preliminary investigation into murder has been launched.

Several shootings in Södertälje

As recently as Wednesday, a 25-year-old man was injured in a shooting in basically the same place in Ronna, and a week ago a gunshot-wounded man appeared at Södertälje hospital.

- Of course we look at connections.

Anything else would be strange, says Carina Skagerlind.

This is what Caroline Aspegren, acting local police area manager in Södertälje, said earlier today when SVT met her to talk about the recent shootings:
