Eight defendants aged 26 to 34 appeared before the Moulins Criminal Court (Allier) on Wednesday.

They had to answer for transport, possession, offer, acquisition or use of narcotics or laundering, concealment of the proceeds of a crime of drug trafficking, reports

This vast traffic would have covered at least three departments: Allier, Nièvre and Yvelines.

Two defendants from the Ile-de-France were considered to be the leaders of the network.

Aged 27 and 33, they were sentenced to four years in prison with continued detention and a fine of 6,000 euros each.

All doomed

Another Ile-de-France was sentenced to 30 months in prison, 12 of which were probationary suspended for two years and continued detention.

A resident of Montluçon was sentenced to three years in prison, two of which were suspended on probation and a fine of 5,000 euros.

Finally, a Nivernais was sentenced to two years in prison, including one year, and a Yzeurien to 18 months, including 12 months suspended.

Two women were also given eight-month suspended prison sentences.
