The Kremlin: Any attack on the annexed territories will be considered an attack on Russia

The Kremlin said on Friday that it would regard attacks against any part of Ukraine that Russia is about to annex as acts of aggression against Russia itself.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters that Russia would "by law" annex parts of Ukraine that are not under the control of Russian forces as part of its moves to annex four regions in Ukraine.

Russia is heading to annex the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhia regions in Ukraine after holding what it called referendums in the occupied regions of Ukraine.
