Arrested on the basis of a notice issued by Interpol

Sébastien Raoult, a 21-year-old former computer science student from Epinal, was arrested on May 31 in Tangier, northern Morocco, on the basis of a red notice issued by Interpol at the request of American justice, when he was about to take the plane to return to France.

He is accused by American justice of conspiracy to commit electronic fraud and abuse, serious identity theft and of being a member of the "ShinyHunters", a group of "cybercriminals" suspected by Americans of being behind cyber attacks on companies, which he disputes.

According to Me Ohayon, he risks 116 years in prison in the United States for the acts attributed to him.

The Court of Cassation of Morocco issued in August a "favorable opinion" to this extradition, but its fate is now in the hands of the Moroccan Prime Minister who must give the green light to his possible transfer.

Since his arrest, his father Paul Raoult and Me Ohayon have been trying to convince the justice system and the French authorities to have him extradited to France for trial.

Unsuccessful so far.

The complaint filed on Friday deplores "the abusive refusal of a judicial authority to set in motion public action" in France, "by allowing a scheme intended to cause his extradition from Morocco to the United States to persist rather than to judge him. him and his alleged accomplices or co-perpetrators in France".

She accuses the French authorities of having, "in agreement with the American authorities" had Sébastien Raoult arrested by the Moroccan authorities.

"We feel that there has been a fraudulent agreement with a foreign power, and everyone seems to be covering up," Paul Raoult told AFP, indicating that his son had "the feeling of s 'to be trapped in this affair'.
