On September 29, local time, the Finnish government decided to close the border to Russian tourists from September 30.

According to the Finnish Broadcasting Corporation, the Finnish government held a press conference on the 29th and decided to freeze the tourist visas issued by Finland and other Schengen countries for Russians.

But there are still exceptions to these restrictions, such as visiting family members or taking the Finnish Higher Education Entrance Exam.

At the border, truck traffic, which is vital to Finland in the future, is also allowed to transport critical materials to Finland.
