The Abu Dhabi Family and Civil and Administrative Claims Court rejected a lawsuit filed by a (Gulf Arab) man against his friend accusing him of obtaining six million dirhams in exchange for buying land and an apartment and entering into commercial partnerships, and he discovered that they were fictitious. The court explained that the plaintiff did not provide any evidence to prove any of these facts.

In detail, a (Khaliji) filed a lawsuit against his friend of his nationality and resides in the country, demanding that he pay him six million dirhams, and oblige him to pay him 500 thousand dirhams as a compensatory compensation for the damages he sustained.

He indicated that he had an old friendship with the defendant, and asked him to send him 96 thousand dirhams as an advance, so he transferred the amount to his account, after which he claimed that he works in the field of real estate investment, and persuaded him to buy a plot of land and transferred to him one million and 725 thousand dirhams, and then offered He had to buy an apartment, so he transferred to him two million and 650 thousand dirhams for the price of the apartment, and after a month he requested to transfer 90,000 dirhams, claiming that it was service fees on the apartment, so he transferred the amount to him, and after three months he was offered to enter into a partnership in the field of cars and obtained from him 1.1 million dirhams, and the total amounts Which he transferred to his friend six million dirhams, and after that he discovered that all the projects were fake and did not exist, so the plaintiff asked the defendant to return the sums he received, but he did not respond.

In the ruling, the court stated that the plaintiff did not provide any evidence proving any of these facts and did not provide any evidence that any amount was sent to the defendant, and his statements were sent without a bond or evidence, and what was stated in the messages exchanged between the two parties to the litigation via “WhatsApp” is not in it. Evidence of any of these facts, and the letters do not include an acknowledgment by the defendant of any of these facts or the allotment of any amount owed to him for the benefit of the plaintiff, and accordingly, the lawsuit came without its support from reality and the law, and the court ruled to reject the lawsuit.
