This exchange event was held in Tokyo on September 30th by the Chinese Embassy in Tokyo to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between Japan and China.

China's Ambassador to Japan Kong Xuanyou said, "China-Japan relations are entering a new phase that has never been seen since the normalization of diplomatic relations. We must strive to build bilateral relations that are suitable for the new era with a strong sense of mission and responsibility." I will not," he emphasized.

Invited to the meeting were people involved in the normalization of diplomatic relations, their families, and other people who had contributed to the friendship between the two countries.

One of these was Mitsuko Watanabe, the grandson of Masayoshi Ohira, who negotiated the normalization of diplomatic relations as Minister of Foreign Affairs 50 years ago. I hope that exchanges between Chinese young people will brighten the future of both countries."

In addition, Tetsutaro Shimizu, general representative of the Matsuyama Ballet Company, which pioneered Japanese ballet and contributed to exchanges with China, said, "The wonderful stage built by our predecessors on the 50th anniversary will serve as a foothold for future Japan-China relations.
