In May 1878, Émile Zola acquired a charming house located on the banks of the Seine, in Médan.

Purchased thanks to the success of his novel "L'Assommoir", the small building was gradually enlarged to become a magnificent residence.

In his huge office, behind a glass roof decorated with colored stained glass, Zola writes some of his masterpieces.

In this essential room, above a monumental fireplace, we still read the motto of the writer: “Not a day without a line”.
