Families The great sports and cultural fiasco of Sergio Ramos and Pilar Rubio in Paris
Bulls and football
shake hands again.
Alejandro Talavante
(Badajoz, 1987), a bullfighting star who has
returned to the ring
this season, brought together three soccer stars who shared several seasons at Real Madrid
last weekend at his farm in
Olivenza (Badajoz):
Nacho, Sergio Ramos and Keylor Navas.
The last two currently share a team, Paris Saint Germain.
In fact, both traveled to the farm, called "Los Arrifes de Arriba",
on a private flight
from the French capital.

Taking advantage of
the league break
due to the international matches of the national teams, and since none of the three footballers was summoned by their countries, Talavante scheduled
a bullfighting attempt,
as he himself confirmed on his Instagram profile: "Training accompanied by great friends" and that illustrated the photo of the
matador himself with the soccer stars
and two other friends.
Up to three capotes appear in the image.
The test is carried out in the farms when the steer is two years old, old enough to check the qualities of bravery of the animal.
The calves that pass this test will later serve as mothers to cross them with the stallions previously chosen from the herd.
THE REUNION
Both Sergio Ramos and Nacho are
very fond of bullfighting.
It is well remembered by the Madrid fans, who have seen the titles Real Madrid won for many seasons celebrate with several of its players
taking the cape and giving passes,
in the manner of the matadors, on the grass of the stadiums.
They thus followed in the footsteps of other legendary players who also celebrated like this, such as
Juanito or Raúl González himself,
now coach of Real Madrid Castilla.
Keylor Navas, during his time at Madrid, was more difficult to see in these situations, but his friendship with Sergio Ramos has strengthened his personal ties but also his love of bullfighting.
Keylor left the white club in 2019 while the former Real Madrid captain put an end to his stage as a madridista in 2021. The youth squad Nacho continues in the white team.
FRIENDSHIP
The great friendship that Alejandro Talavante and Sergio Ramos
have had for nearly 15 years
has been what has led to this meeting.
In fact, the matador from Extremadura participated in the premiere of
El corazón de Sergio Ramos,
an Amazon Prime Video documentary series that premiered in 2019. Before the press,
the bullfighter highlighted the footballer's courage:
"I see Sergio with a lot of courage to put on in front of the bull.
They both
met in Seville,
when the center-back played for the Nervión team and Talavante was still a bullfighter at the time, and that
friendship has grown stronger
over the years.
In 2012, Talavante attended
the wedding of Sergio Ramos' sister,
Miriam, in Seville, which was held at the Salvador church in the Andalusian capital.
There is another
anecdote
.
The Spanish team, with Ramos as a bastion, played the final of the 2012 European Football Championship in kyiv against Italy.
Sergio Ramos invited the matador from Extremadura to watch the match live, but due to professional commitments he could not be present.
However, Talavante
sent Ramos to Kiev one of his capes
to bring him luck and so that, in case of victory,
he would wear it after the match
on the pitch celebrating the title.
Spain won by a resounding 4-0 and Ramos, fought and was photographed with his cape pointing out the name of Talavante that was embroidered on the back of the cape.
Talavante made a great gesture
in the farewell of Sergio Ramos
as a Real Madrid player.
The bullfighter wrote this message on his social networks on the day of the white captain's departure when he did not reach an agreement to renew with the Madrid club:
"Brother, we will go after the flights of your cape,
wherever the wind takes us" .
And it is not the first time this past weekend that both meet at the Olivenza estate.
As soon as he can, less now because he lives in Paris, Sergio Ramos escapes to the bullfighter's estate to
exercise his other great passion, the bullfighting world:
"When I have days off I feel the need to shoot for the field because I love nature, I love the silhouette of the bull and the horse; all this leads to
he profession of bullfighting
and being on the matador's farm, I come here to enjoy myself.
Perhaps one day I would change professions with him, but let it be
in an afternoon without commitments
or gorings," the footballer told the Cadena Ser program 'El Larguero' in 2016.

And the teacher, in that same program, pointed out: "When I talk to Sergio,
I enjoy trying to explain
the sensations that a bullfighter provokes every time he executes a cast or a muletazo. When I have had a bad afternoon, I think
: 'Fuck, because I wasn't a footballer like him',
because my profession is very individualistic and a lot of weight falls on one, but when the good ones arrive, the truth is that
I don't change for anyone.
I'm struck by the artistic concerns that Sergio has to solve " .
Six years later, the last meeting between the two, now including Nacho and Keylor Navas, took place in Olivenza, where Talavante
has had his own farm
since he was 20 years old after acquiring cows and stallions from Núñez del Cuvillo.
Later, cows and stallions from Garcigrande were added to the cattle acquired.
Other figures such as
Juli, Ferrera or Garrido
also have farms in the Oliventine lands, where the bullfighting season opens every year during the Olivenza Fair.
