S, V and MP together have 39 mandates out of the municipal council's total of 81 mandates.

In order to get a majority, you need the support of one more party.

- Uppsala needs a stable board, and preferably a majority board, all decisions that are made need a majority, both in the council and in the committees.

We are happy to govern in a majority with the Liberals or the Center Party, says Linda Eskilsson (MP).

- The door is wide open for C and L, says Erik Pelling (S).

In any case, it is clear that the red-green trio forms a united block and that it is now starting a new budget work with the intention of forming a political government.

During the past mandate period, Uppsala municipality has been governed by a coalition consisting of the Social Democrats, the Liberals and the Green Party.

The Social Democrats advanced after the election, while both L and MP retreated.

L lost the most, 3 out of 8 mandates.
