A little while ago, the proposal for the dismissal of Minister of Foreign Affairs Park Jin was passed by the National Assembly.

When such a proposal for dismissal is received, the president decides whether to actually dismiss him or not.

Let's go straight to Parliament.

Reporter Kang Min-woo, please tell us about the voting results.

A little while ago, with almost all of the Democratic lawmakers in attendance, a proposal to dismiss Minister of Foreign Affairs Park Jin was passed with 168 votes in favor of 170 incumbents.

This is the fourth time a proposal for the dismissal of a member of the State Council has been passed by the National Assembly since the constitutional amendment in 1987.

The opposition and the opposition were fiercely contested before the proposal for dismissal was introduced, so let's hear it first.

[Wi Seong-gon / Democratic Party's Senior Vice-President of Household Policy: This is a measure implemented by the National Assembly on the strict evaluation of the people that mourning diplomacy without worship, humiliating summit diplomacy, empty-handed diplomacy, last-minute diplomacy, and meeting in 48 seconds.]

[Song Eon-seok/People's KIM Senior Deputy Representative for the House: The British Ambassador to Korea also acknowledged that the condolences were properly executed.

There is no condition for suggesting that Minister Park Jin be dismissed because of what went wrong.] The

Democratic Party plans to continue the pressure by demanding not only the dismissal of Minister Park, but also a complete replacement of the diplomatic and security lines and a presidential apology for the diplomatic controversy.

I plan to respond to the recommendation to resign as the Speaker of the National Assembly in the morning of tomorrow (30th), saying that the power of the people who did not participate in the vote in protest against the proposal for dismissal is a hindrance to the government of the opposition party.

Looking at President Yoon Seok-yeol's remarks on his way to work this morning, it seems that some direction has come out. How will Minister Park Jin go?

<Reporter>

Now, the ball has passed to President Yoon Seok-yeol.

The proposal for the dismissal of the State Council member is literally a 'removal proposal', so if the president does not accept it, it is not legally binding.

President Yoon Seok-yeol was asked a related question on his way to work this morning (29th), and Minister Park indirectly expressed his opposition to his dismissal proposal, saying that he is a man of excellent ability.

Immediately after the dismissal proposal was passed, the presidential office said that it had no position in the SBS inquiry asking for its position.
