At the end of the interrogation Valentina Boscaro confessed: it was she who killed Mattia Caruso, 30, stabbing him in the night between Sunday and Monday.
The girl, heard by the prosecutor of Padua in a police station in the presence of a lawyer, admitted to having killed her boyfriend at the end of a dispute in the car.
Valentina Boscaro said she killed her boyfriend at the end of a fight in the car, using the young man's switchblade.
"He was stoned and I hit him in the heart", she would have told the investigators.
The story told by the girl initially did not convince the Prosecutor's Office and Carabinieri.
On Sunday evening the couple were at the Sant'Antonio lakes.
The girl had said that Mattia Caruso would have gone away with a stranger while she was in the car.
He would have been stabbed and then, getting back in the car, he would have traveled a few kilometers before dying, stopping in via dei Colli.
She wouldn't have noticed that her boyfriend was bleeding.
The murder weapon was the switchblade that the young man possessed.
The young woman was arrested for the murder.
