The police were alerted at 01:50.
A total of four people had to be taken to hospital – three young people from the A-tractor and the truck driver.
- Our picture is that it is a head-on collision where one of the vehicles has driven on the wrong side of the road, says Göran Carlbom, officer on duty at the police in the West region.
The driver, who was a 17-year-old boy, has been pronounced dead.
- Relatives have been notified during the morning hours, says Carlbom.
Two young girls injured
Two young girls, 15 and 16 years old, were also in the A-tractor.
One of them has minor injuries, the other has serious injuries that are not currently considered to be life-threatening.
The truck driver is uninjured.
Both vehicles have been impounded for technical examination.
The police have started a preliminary investigation into negligence in traffic.
