Nord Stream, Greenpeace estimate: climate impact as 20 million cars in a year

"The potential climate impact of the methane spill from Nord stream 1 + 2 could be 30 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent over a period of 20 years. Equal to the annual emissions of 20 million cars in the EU".

These are the preliminary calculations on the environmental damage caused by leaks to the pipeline according to what Greenpeace writes on twitter.
