At the conclusion of its work, the International Government Communication Forum 2022, organized by the International Government Communication Center of the Sharjah Government Media Office, called on governments to form partnerships with Arab drama producers to develop content that reaches the world, and prepare plans to build a culture of societal adaptation to crises in order to reach “ “Engineering Change” and developing educational curricula that contribute to the preparation of leaders of influence with the power of the word.

The forum, which raised this year the slogan "Challenges and Solutions", witnessed the attendance of 17,400 visitors to its main activities, which included 42 activities, and varied between seven main sessions, 10 inspirational speeches, six proactive events, six workshops, and 13 interactive platforms, which were held in parallel with the Forum. 40 accompanying events, which shed light on the prominent challenges in a number of urgent humanitarian, cultural, economic, environmental and development issues, and foresaw the future of their relationship with government communication, and its role in providing effective solutions to them.

The Director of the Sharjah Government Media Office, Alia Al Suwaidi, announced nine recommendations that form a summary of what was presented by 160 speakers and international experts in the field of government communication. And activating it after being subjected to a vote, and the necessity of developing a “Government Communication Governance Guide” with the cooperation of the concerned authorities from official institutions and communication experts, and the importance of creating a specialized linguistic guide for crisis management that includes the most appropriate terms and words for public discourse.

The recommendations included activating a partnership between governments and Arab drama producers to convey positive messages and influence on a global scale and call for more investment in Arab drama carrying culture, values ​​and heritage. It also called for the development of educational curricula and training programs that contribute to building a generation capable of finding solutions to the challenges of societies, and preparing leaders Influence with the power of the word.

The recommendations included a call for cooperation between contact teams in economic and academic institutions and specialized study centers in anticipating the economic future and anticipating solutions to expected economic problems, and emphasizing the importance of preparing well-studied plans and programs targeting all members of society and in line with their needs and nature to build a culture of adaptation to crises and finding solutions to “engineering change.” ».

The forum also recommended preparing for the future of communication, keeping pace with artificial intelligence, metaviruses and emerging technologies, and setting government programs to protect cultural diversity, maintain balance between cultures, and respect difference and privacy.

Technology experts confirmed during their participation in the International Government Communication Forum 2022 that there are accelerating steps by companies to develop metaverse technologies.

They considered that "Web3" technology is a key to making the Internet more secure, noting that the UAE has benefited from all modern technologies in a short time, and succeeded in transforming the traditional environment into digital until it became a model towards switching to metaverse technology.

The Executive Director of the (Science Web) Foundation at the University of Southampton, Professor Wendy Hull, said that all companies are competing to develop metaviruses currently, and we expect companies to pay cryptocurrency in the coming period for this, stressing the importance of governments thinking about how to maintain the security of citizens, the elderly and children in a world Metaverse, because it wouldn't be an open world, it would be completely different.

She added:

“There are those who are trying to develop the Internet;

Governments must change their way of thinking to organize this new space because there is great competition;

(Web 3) is a key to making the Internet more secure, and governments should think about securing their people from digital risks.”

The director of the Artificial Intelligence course at Oxford University, Ajit Jawkar, said that the world is now heading towards metaverses, and the UAE has become a model, and has been chosen by many parties because of its strong digital infrastructure.

In turn, the Director General of the Jordan News Agency "Petra", Fayek Mikhail Al-Hijazin, said: "We have preparations in the Arab world to keep pace with the developments available to benefit from them, and the UAE is one of the experiences that benefited from the development in the technical environment to the digital environment."
