North Korea has launched a ballistic missile in the direction of the Sea of Japan, according to the South Korean Yonhap news agency, citing the Committee of Chiefs of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Korea.
"North Korea fired an unidentified ballistic missile... heightening tensions amid ongoing South Korean-American naval exercises involving a US aircraft carrier," the story reads.
On September 25, North Korea launched an unidentified ballistic missile into the Sea of Japan.
