The sources pointed out that the UN envoy held talks yesterday with Omani officials and the head of the Houthi militia delegation, negotiator Muhammad Abdul Salam in the Omani capital, Muscat, about those items, the most important of which are the opening of Taiz roads, the payment of salaries, the expansion of flights to and from Sanaa airport, and an increase in the movement of ships in the port of Hodeidah. .

After his meeting with the envoy in Muscat, the head of the Houthi delegation, Muhammad Abdulsalam, said, "He reiterated his group's firm position on extending the truce, which is represented in implementing its conditions represented by:" the opening of Sana'a airport and the ports of Hodeidah without hindrance, and the payment of salaries of employees and pensions of retirees."

The UN envoy had discussed last Monday in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, with the head of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad Al-Alimi, the extension proposal submitted to the Yemeni government. Yemeni".

The current truce ends on October 2, as the efforts of the UN envoy to extend it receive international and regional support, while the militias are trying to set conditions and obstacles to the extension process.

On the ground, the Yemeni army and resistance forces in Marib governorate repelled, at dawn today, a new Houthi attack on their positions in the Ramli axis in the south of the governorate, as part of their daily violations of the armistice, according to field sources, confirming that the attack was repulsed and a Houthi infiltration attempt towards their positions in “Tbab al-Safina” in the Taqaa Jabal al-Balaq, south of the province.

On the western coast, the military media of the joint forces confirmed the failure of two attacks launched by the Houthi militia during the past few hours on the Hays axis, south of Hodeidah, which incurred heavy losses.

He pointed out that the Houthi violations continue on the south of Hodeidah and west of Taiz, where two Houthi attacks were repelled in the Hays axis, leaving a soldier dead and 7 of the joint forces wounded, while a number of Houthi attackers were killed, including the leader of the Houthi attack called Abdul Wahed Hamdan Suleiman Al-Haj, who holds the rank of Colonel and hails from the province of Saada.

On the other hand, the leadership of the Taiz axis announced that it had monitored 20 Houthi violations of the armistice on the various fronts of the governorate, while a human rights report by SAM Organization for Rights and Freedoms documented the killing and wounding of 74 civilians, including children and women, as a result of Houthi violations in Taiz since the start of the UN truce in early April.

Regarding the Houthi mine victims, local and medical sources in the city of Hodeidah said that Houthi mines have killed and injured 23 civilians, including children, during the past three days.

This comes after the announcement of the United Nations Mission in Hodeidah that since November 12, 2021 it has recorded 242 civilian casualties in Hodeidah, including 101 deaths, and 141 others injured due to landmines and other explosive remnants of war.
