"Nikolaj" has participated in demonstrations against the war and been arrested on two occasions.
He describes the panic that arose in families and among friends.
- All women have a son, a husband, or a father who risks being called in, he says.
"Nikolaj" lives in one of Russia's largest cities and says that there are many rumors that spread among the population.
- Everyone is terrified and no one knows what will happen next.

- I don't know anyone who wants to go to war on their own.
