There will be no classes this Thursday morning at Mahatma Gandhi College in Fougères (Ille-et-Vilaine).
This decision by the teaching community follows the attack on Tuesday of the principal of the establishment by the mother of a student.
During a meeting about his daughter, in third grade, the individual would have pushed the director of the establishment into his office.
The principal then fell and hit her head against a radiator, reports
France Bleu Armorique
.
Already known to her police services, the mother of the family was arrested and placed in police custody.
A complaint has been filed.
In a press release, the SNES-FSU union reacted, expressing "its solidarity" with regard to the director.
"Violence in personal relationships within a school is unacceptable," protested the union.
President of the Ille-et-Vilaine department council, Jean-Luc Chenut also “condemned in the strongest terms this unacceptable act of violence”.
