Security Council discusses leak from Nord Stream Friday
Sweden announced Wednesday that the UN Security Council will meet on Friday at Russia's request to discuss the issue of gas leakage from Nord Stream pipelines in the Baltic Sea.
"France, in its capacity as president of the Security Council, informed us that Russia requested a meeting to discuss the issue of the leak from Nord Stream, and that this meeting is scheduled for Friday," the Swedish foreign minister said in a press conference, explaining that Sweden and Denmark were tasked with providing Security Council members with information about the leak that occurred in their two economic regions.
