Latina, the Tar has annulled the proclamation of the elected: the mayor Coletta lapses

The

section of the Lazio TAR accepted one of the appeals on the municipal elections of

annulling the proclamation of the elected representatives and the outcome in twenty-two sections out of 116. The decision of the administrative judges results in the forfeiture of the mayor

and of the entire City Council and the return to the polls for the sections that are the subject of the dispute.

: "The Regional Administrative Court for Lazio detached section of Latina (First Section), definitively ruling on the appeal rg 800/21, accepts it within the limits set out in the motivation and, consequently: cancels the electoral operations held in sections nos. 24, 40, 44, 60, 64, 68, 69, 73, 75, 76, 81, 83, 85, 86, 94, 95, 98, 103, 106, 107, 109, 110 , and provides for the renewal of these operations limited to these sections ".

The appeal was presented by some

unelected municipal council

starting from the hypothesis that in some electoral sections, 33 out of 116, irregularities would have occurred such as to invalidate the result itself .

The Lazio TAR, in this regard, explains today that "the sentence cancels the proclamation report of the elected officials adopted by the electoral office of the meeting of the Presidents of the sections of the Municipality of Latina, opened on 19 October 2021 and concluded on 21 October 2021 , for the election to the office of Mayor and to the office of municipal councilor of the Municipality of Latina ".

, said this to the Dire agency, commenting on the decision of the Lazio TAR which upheld one of the appeals on the municipal elections of 3 and 4 October 2021, thus canceling the proclamation of the elected representatives and the outcome in 22 sections on 116. The decision of the administrative judges entails the forfeiture of Coletta himself and of the entire City Council and the return to the polls for the sections that are the subject of the dispute.
