A 33-year-old man appeared Friday before the correctional court of Moulins (Allier) for possession, transport, and acquisition of narcotics.

But also for not having respected his semi-freedom regime in Bourg-en-Bresse (Ain), reports La Montagne.

The man was arrested on August 27.

The alert was given by a young woman claiming to be kidnapped and prostituted by the suspect in a hotel in Toulon-sur-Allier.

A train delay

During the hearing, the defendant explained that he had gone to see his dying mother.

But the return train was late.

He would have decided not to return, because, having already accumulated several delays in semi-freedom, he would, according to him, again be returned to conventional detention.

In his hotel room, small quantities of drugs were also found.

The man, who has 22 entries in his record, was finally sentenced to eighteen months in prison with continued detention.

The investigation into the woman who sounded the alert is still ongoing.
