The Greens, who always like to pretend to be interested in civil rights when it comes to the interests of their clientele, also found nothing wrong with the fact that the administration had violated iron electoral principles through mistakes in the organization, not to speak of the left-wing party who also governed.

Anything else would be a mockery of democracy

The Berlin Constitutional Court has now formally determined in a preliminary assessment, but in terms of content with all desirable clarity, that the mistakes are relevant to the mandate and can only be cured by a complete repetition of the two elections.

This is not the only failure of the red-green-red Senate's mitigation strategy.

The Senate itself is now one on call.

A repeat of last September's federal election has now become even more likely.

No matter what financial and organizational effort a new election day will demand from everyone involved: Anything else would be a mockery of democracy and grist for the mill of your opponents.
