In detail, the Dubai Media Council, chaired by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, reviewed the progress achieved with regard to the objectives included in the council's strategic plan, and the most important projects that will be worked on during the next phase, which aim as a whole at upgrading the media work system and strengthening Competitiveness of Dubai's media, and raising the efficiency of its various sectors.

During the meeting, which was attended by the Vice President and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council, Mona Ghanem Al-Marri, His Highness was briefed on the steps related to the strategic plan for the development of the Dubai Media Corporation.

His Highness stressed that the development process, which began a few weeks ago, aims to enhance the capabilities of the institution, advance it and raise its competitiveness in accordance with the best international standards.

The meeting was attended by members of the Dubai Media Council: Malik Sultan Al Malik, Hala Badri, Muhammad Al Mulla, Younis Abdulaziz Al Nasser, Issam Kazim, Amal Ahmed bin Shabib, and the Secretary General of the Dubai Media Council Nihal Badri.

He pointed out that the number of licensed media companies increased during the first half by 30% compared to the same period last year, and this increase was accompanied by a parallel growth in the number of workers in the private media sector, which amounted to 10% compared to the same period last year.

The meeting reviewed a number of media projects to be implemented during the next phase.
