Science and Technology Daily, Beijing, September 27 (Reporter Jiao Yang) On the 27th, my country's self-developed "Kunlong" AG600M successfully completed a 12-ton water injection test at Zhanghe Airport in Jingmen, Hubei with a new fire-fighting coating.

He Shengqiang, deputy general manager of the aviation industry, said that the success of this test marks a significant progress in the development of the AG600M fire extinguisher, and the project development has taken a solid step towards practical application, laying a solid foundation for subsequent continuous production, test flight and airworthiness verification. a solid foundation.

At 10:5 a.m., the AG600M fully loaded with 12 tons of water took off from the Zhanghe Airport runway on land, and landed smoothly in Zhanghe Reservoir after completing the water drop in the water drop area. It took 15 seconds to complete the 12 tons of water during high-speed taxiing on the water surface. Immediately, it took off into the air, and after completing a series of predetermined flight test subjects in the air, it dropped water again in the water-dropping area to accurately cover the target area, and successfully landed at Zhanghe Reservoir at 10:25.

"The aircraft was in good condition throughout the test process, the systems were running stably, the water injection accuracy and water injection volume met the design goals, and the verification of the continuous operation mode of 'ground water injection and water injection - water surface water extraction and water injection' was successfully completed." AVIC Tongfei South China Aircraft Xiong Xianpeng, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Industrial Co., Ltd., and the executive deputy commander-in-chief of the AG600M project site, said.

As a large-scale fire-fighting amphibious aircraft, the AG600M is equipped with a fully functional fire-fighting mission system, which can realize various functions such as ground water injection, water glide and water extraction, chemical premixing and multi-mode water injection.

The development of AG600M realizes the continuous improvement and development of the technology of the water-drawing fire extinguishing task system from scratch and from existence to strength.

"During the development process, the R&D team continued to improve and optimize the design of the fire extinguishing task system, and successively broke through the demand development based on the forest fire extinguishing task scenario, the load calculation simulation of the high-speed water drawing process, the special human-machine interface design for the fire extinguishing task, and the simultaneous opening of the multi-drop water hatches. A series of key technologies, such as comprehensive integrated design, have realized its efficient fire extinguishing ability." Xiong Xianpeng said.

At the same time, the R&D team and suppliers are based on the domestic industrial chain, supply chain, and innovation chain, and adhere to the localization of components, mechanisms, and parts to ensure the independent and controllable system R&D.

This major test of AG600M pumping water is another major milestone after the aircraft completed its maiden flight on land on May 31 and on water on August 29.

At the test event site, AVIC General Aviation South China and Everbright Financial Leasing signed 4 aircraft purchase agreements and R&D financing agreements, and signed 2 aircraft purchase intention agreements with Henan Aviation Investment, marking the mission capability verification and marketization of this type of aircraft. A solid step has been taken in development.

"The next task of the AG600M is to speed up the adjustment and test flight, freeze the state of the aircraft as soon as possible, and then complete the compliance test flight and the authority-approved test flight. If everything goes well, the airworthiness certificate can be obtained as planned." Xiong Xianpeng said.

The AG600M aircraft has a maximum take-off weight of 60 tons, a maximum water load of 12 tons, a minimum level flight speed of 220 km/h, and a range of 4,500 kilometers.

This type of aircraft has achieved 100% domestic self-developed and domestic support including engines and key airborne systems.
