A "real horror movie sequence and a very painful, long, authentic drama".

Thus the Court of Assizes of Bologna, chaired by Pier Luigi Di Bari, in the grounds for the sentence for Leon Asoli, sentenced to 30 years for killing his stepfather.

It was April 15, 2021, Alexander according to the Court attempted to assassinate his mother after killing his stepfather Loreno Grimandi.

The man died in Ceretolo di Casalecchio di Reno, after eating a plate of penne with salmon for dinner, according to the indictment hypothesis confirmed by the judges, prepared by his son and poisoned with sodium nitrite.

Asoli, 20, underlines the Court in the motivation, after having murdered his stepfather he tried to kill his mother three times (with pasta, with a poisoned glass and finally trying to suffocate her) accompanying his actions with "terrible words: ' why don't you die? '".

The defense had advanced the hypothesis of an attempted suicide by the woman, who was strongly depressed and would have killed her husband.

Hypothesis rejected by the judges who instead considered the aggravating circumstances contested to the son to exist, including premeditation.

The accused would have planned everything for some time and the "murderous resolution" would go back to the end of March, while at the beginning of April it was research and studies on the Internet, which led to the purchase of nitrite, but also of other poisonous substances, such as bulbs by Gloriosa Superba.

Prosecutor Rossella Poggioli had asked for a life sentence.

But the judges evaluated the aggravating circumstances equivalent to the generic extenuating circumstances, granted for his age, he was less than 20 years old, and because "without taking anything away from his responsibility and the absence of significant and relevant psychiatric problems, his family history it had contributed to not making him mature enough ".

And for this they have decided to impose an "end of sentence with a fixed time", albeit within the maximum limit.

The motive, which according to the accusation would have been the inheritance, for the judges instead has "its roots in the life events" of the boy essentially in an aggression "for this mother from whom he feels, as well as being neglected, 'pressed '(for study, for work) and whose death he ends up planning ", considering her" the woman who ruined his life ".

Asoli would have shown an ability to manipulate others, according to the Court, and would have deceived even his biological father, who said he was convinced of his innocence.
